Education

Studied human medicine at Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main and at Freie Universität Berlin; graduated in 1998.
Doctorate (Dr. med.) on January 13, 1999, at the Center of Internal Medicine, Department of Endocrinology and Angiology, University Hospital of Johann Wolfgang Goethe University Frankfurt am Main (Prof. Dr. K. H. Usadel). Dissertation topic: “The influence of contralateral temperature changes on microcirculation in patients with diabetes mellitus”.
Specialist training in dermatology and venereology at the Department of Dermatology, Klinikum Benjamin Franklin (Freie Universität Berlin, Prof. Dr. h. c. C. E. Orfanos) and at the Department of Dermatology, Klinikum Ernst von Bergmann, Potsdam (teaching hospital of the Charité, Prof. Dr. R. Niedner). Board-certified specialist since 2003.
