Nutritional Medicine

I have been practicing nutritional medicine in my dermatology practice for many years. The skin mirrors what is happening inside and shows the effects of what we eat – skin health depends on a healthy body and a healthy diet.

Acne, eczema, psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, food allergies and intolerances, irritable bowel syndrome, anti-aging, skin cancer prevention, and the skin’s immune defense are typical topics I take care of every day. To that end, I run laboratory tests – including micronutrient analysis (vitamins, trace elements), toxicology, and internal-medicine values such as blood lipids, blood sugar, and fatty acid profile – as well as stool analyses (microbiome diagnostics), provide individual counseling, and also help with weight loss. This is especially important for skin patients, since excess weight causes skin problems and disturbs hormone balance.
